Destination has been working in cooperation with Visa and the Home Office to bring The Great British High Street, a destination to highlight the good work of high street teams and local communities throughout the UK.
With the site in its 5th year, they wanted to deliver an exceptional experience for the High Street of the Year Awards 2019.
Working alongside Bright Partnerships for the awards coordination and design, Destination delivered the full digital solution for The Great British High Street site and the awards – with functionality for awards entries, technologies to assist with judging and a public voting system to allow the local communities to actively support the good work of their high streets and high street heroes.
The awards saw 290 entries from high streets and communities across the country and the public voting proved to be a huge success with over 130k votes through our platform.
With the success of the awards, the site commanded a 54% increase in traffic over the previous year - bringing a lot of positive publicity for progressive high streets and elevate the profile of the businesses within them.
