The Maybird Shopping Park was looking for a cost effective marketing solution that would offer a complete suite of digital marketing services including a new website and a brand ambassador to liaise with their tenants.
Whilst there are several digital services already promoting Plymouth City Centre, including Visit Plymouth, there was a limited focus on promoting ‘Shopping in Plymouth’ and, thus, the retailers and businesses within the Plymouth BID area through these channels. With this in mind, The Plymouth City Centre Company decided to look for marketing company who would be able to fully address this requirement for them, as an outsourced service.

The centre management team were keen for Destination to look at new and innovative ways to get its retailers more involved through the same digital channels.
The Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) was asked to manage and co-ordinated a government-funded initiative to create a new website that would be a digital representation of the “Great British High Street” - aggregating social media content provided by businesses, town & city centres, along with the ATCM and the general public, to portray a positive message about what is currently happening on High Streets throughout the UK.
